Thought it might be nice to see what others have done or plan on doing on the day of their AMCAS submission in terms of final work on their application to ensure an as-perfect-as-can-be submission. Could be a nice running list for others in the future (as well as myself in the coming days lol) and there might be some unique but helpful things out there.

I'll start: Control F through every piece of writing and removing useless words like "very" and "really."

Print app and go over with red pen, very slowly and thoroughly.

Sleep between editing sessions

Double, triple, quadruple check hours and contact info.

Ensure that you know exactly the LOR policy of every school you are submitting to so you can choose the right letters when you submit.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I always type 'not' instead of 'now'. Drastically changes the meaning sometimes

For the love of god make sure you're submitting the correct version/draft of your personal statement.

Totally agree with @Lucca 's advice- printing it out and going through every line with a red pen + reading out loud will help catch mistakes and ensure you're submitting the app you want to submit. There's no going back once you hit submit so it's worth powering through to read it over a few more times imo. Nothing worse than having to email admissions letting them know you're careless enough to have submitted an old draft of your PS in one of the most important applications of your life thus far :smack:
