My GPA has finally been verified!

BCP - 3.5
Sci - 3.57
NonSci - 3.62
CUMUL - 3.59

My DAT is scheduled for Aug 27th - hopefully I can get 20's across the board for a competitive application.

Do you guys think that I will still get invites for interviews before Dec, even though my application will be complete kinda late?

if you've submitted your app already, even without a DAT score, I think you should be okay. just rock the DAT. Your grades are better than average, I would say.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm a Canadian applicant and my grades for Canadian dental schools are definately below average. They are waaay more cometitive - considering that there's fewer schools.

Congrats! Just checked and mine have also been posted. You should definitely get an interview before December. There are 3 months until then and they should review your application fairly quickly (a few weeks).

I have a question for everyone, though. What do "Quality Points w/o" and "GPA w/o" mean? Without what? I know that's not what the schools use in their review, but I'm curious and can't figure it out. 🙂

schmick - AADSAS uses two grading systems, one that uses +/- and one that doesn't. If you look under Instructions on your application, you will notice a heading that says GPA Conversion Table. Quality Points w/o and GPA w/o are the grades that are calculated without using +/-.

That I don't know. All schools get both so they probably take a look at both, but who knows. My GPA calculated either way is pretty much the same so it doesn't really matter to me.

Maybe someone else knows which calculation schools look at or prefer to use? I have a feeling it's different for evey school...

My transcript was recieved on July 12th. I submitted AADSAS on July 14th. My transcript was verified on July 29th. So I guess it took about two weeks. I thought it would be much longer than that but I guess not :S

mine took even longer... submitted June 26, transcripts received June 26 .... GPA verified July 26th.. a whole month later....... and i'm still waiting for my application to be sent out!
