Congratulations, ElCid. I'm glad everything worked out after all. See you in June. By the way, do you know why school starts in June instead of August? It sucks, b/c I was going to room with a couple of my friends going to the med school, but they don't start 'till august 🙄 Those med school slackers make me sick.

Isn't MUSC one of the handful of schools that doesn't participate in AADSAS?

ElCid, if that is true, could you share how you felt the appliation cycle went for MUSC? I'm just trying to gauge if people (well, only you at this point) feel it is easier to apply through AADSAS or to bypass them altogether (as I think you must with MUSC).

If MUSC isn't one of those schools, then disregard that above comment.

It sucks, b/c I was going to room with a couple of my friends going to the med school, but they don't start 'till august Those med school slackers make me sick.

Just wait until you are starting class at 8:00 in the morning, getting back from the lab at 9:00 at night, while your med school roomies went to three hours of lecture and have been playing X-box since noon. And then May comes around and they all start making big plans for the summer - are you going to go? No, you've got summer semester - DOH!!! 😱

Oh well, guess that's why they have to do a residency, right? 😉

Not to mention that they'll have times that they'll be on call or spend the whole weekend working at the hospital for over 24 hrs straight.

Im not sure why we start in June, I know were going to be taking Gross Anatomy, but why in the summer? I dunno..

I feel your pain. First year at IUSD, we started the second week of July, two months before everybody else. Just gotta persevere 😀

And we were in mid-July. That REALLY sucked when my buddies at Ohio State rubbed in the fact that they don't start until mid-September!
