I bought First Aid CS, figuring that with this and with Savarese for the OMT stuff, I'd be all set. I also checked out the information on the NBOME site, including the embarrassingly awful video. I'm still confused about one major point though: First Aid is pretty clear that your plan is only for more testing. But it sounds like for the PE, you should put tests and/or treatments in the P part of your SOAP?

(Unrelated rant: compared to the CS, we get one less minute for the patient part, and one less minute for the note-writing part. Despite having to fit OMT into some patient encounters. And, I think, having to decide on treatments and discuss them with the patients? Thanks, NBOME. I feel so loved).

Yes, tests, meds, etc go into the P part of your note.

Also in the a bit different, the S part includes medical history, surgical hx, meds, allergies, social hx, family hx along with the Hx of CC. Basically, you're expected to do an H & P in SOAP note format.
