BengaliDocIsl said:my mailing status says "new" anybody else have this and know what it means?
No, my status changed from revised to new.Trabada said:I wonder if people who re-apply this year have status "revised" and people who apply first time this year have status "new". What do you think?
Gforce007 said:Not sure how the original poster has sent since the lady told me the first batch is going out tomorrow as a group. That just finished printing and getting them ready for tranmission!
WHOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
No biggy...I just thought maybe you slipped them a franklin to send yours out early..... 😉 j/k...Good luck...Mine says "new" too now...Feel like its a word game. Just say sent already!Boner said:My bad. The AACOMAS people told me that apps were getting sent out this week. The "sent" column in my designations page says they were sent 6/26/06, which led me to believe mine was sent. Nonetheless, apps are in the process of being sent out, if not already sent. So I second that WOOHOO

How long to calculate GPAs??
For the GPAs, I've seen calculations done as soon as one week to as long as two and a half weeks. Sending the primary after the April 2006 MCAT results creates a bottleneck.vmgopal said:When will batch 2 go out???

CuttinEmUp said:According to a lady that I spoke with at AACOMAS today, she said our apps are being sent out today via UPS.

Doc2007 said:I cannot believe that they are still using regular mail. They should use electronic media to transfer the application. It is much easier and way faster than UPS.
I've heard the same. The mail is a fallback I suppose.Boner said:According to the AACOMAS rep I spoke with a few days ago, they will be sending apps out via mail and electronically this year.
lol, feel free. I think you'll get quite a few followers/posters.heyimnick said:While I'm usually a patient person, and I'm unaware of the nature behind the staffing at AACOMAS, I have to admit their snail's pace to all modes of communication (phone, email, updating apps, etc) is wearing thin. Perhaps a 'Vent at AACOMAS' thread is needed.
christvida said:ok so i have been submitted since 6/13 and my payment went through on the same day. i haven't seen any action as far as gpa calc. or sending my app. to schools. whats the timeline been for everyone else? is my app taking an insane amount of time or should i just have a little more patience?
Orthodoc40 said:I think it is taking an insane amount of time AND you should have a little more patience! What's the alternative?
Trabada said:does anybody know what "new" and "revised status mean?
Trabada said:I actually just called the aacomas. They said that "new" means that you never applied before, "revised" means that it is your second or third time applying
heyimnick said:Allright, so now I have GPA Calculations as of 7/5.
How soon after GPA calculations did you all have your 'designations' or application mailed out?
DRKUBA said:when did you click submit?
heyimnick said:Submitted (Payments) 6/1. Transcripts Received 6/26. GPA Calculations 7/5.
DRKUBA said:Nice, I had everything complete 6/27..... here's to tomorow! 😀
heyimnick said:That's all well and good, but I guess it doesn't answer the question that once all those categories (payments, transcripts, calculations) are complete, how soon thereafter will they actually mail out the primary to our assigned schools?
And going further...about how soon after being mailed out will secondaries come in?
Thanks!
