first time recommender

I asked 2 PTs that I shadowed a few months ago and they both told me that this would be their first time writing a LOR for a student. (I'm assuming because they don't really get volunteers in their department and one of them just graduated last yr) Do schools frown upon LORs that are both written by first time recommenders?

I can't see why that would be a problem. I think it really only matters that they are a non-related PT, not how many LORs they have written. I am going to ask a PT this week who graduated in 2011 from a dpt program if she can write me a LOR, and I don't think she has written one yet either.
