Hi All!!! Eeeekksauce VMCAS is finally open and I already have a few questions for anyone in "the know" or I guess anyone with common sense that I must be lacking at the moment.

I am trying to register my evaluators, and they ask for Name, Title, Phone Number etc... but when they ask for address, do they mean the evaluators home address or the address of their place of work.

For example, I'm asking my Organic Chem Professor. Am I supposed to put down his home address or the address and phone number etc.. of the college/department where he works?

Thanks 😀

I entered their work addresses and phone numbers last cycle and never ran into an issue.

Thanks, that makes more sense than their home address. I just wanted to be sure.

It also depends on who it is...one of my evaluators was a strictly ambulatory equine vet with a new, small practice at the time I filled out my VMCAS. She preferred I give her personal PO Box. If you aren't sure, just contact your evaluators and ask them to provide you with the address they'd prefer you use.

I think email is the most important anyway...they get emailed the link they need to submit their evaluation.

:luck:I put down work addresses... for my vet that was in another country and travels, i just put down the school she was associated with. Never ran into any problems...

I agree with ORvetgirl... just ask if you aren't sure.

🙂good luck

Hi! It really doesn't matter which address you use, so long as the schools have an address on file to contact the evaluator if needed.

Thanks!

I finished my undergrad degree in 2007 but am going back to take a few pre-req's for schools I did not apply to before. One class will be at a community college and one at the main university where I got the degree. Should I list a "completed" date for either school, leave the date blank to indicate that I'm going back for classes there?

I have a question - under the coursework section, one of the questions asks for your academic status. If you have already graduated from a particular institution what is your academic status (in my case I graduated last year from my undergraduate school)? The options are freshman/soph/junior/senior/post bacc/graduate/professional. Maybe this is a really stupid question but I cannot figure out what to put for the life of me...... I don't fit under any of these categories!!
😕

did you receive a degree? If you received your BS/BA you'd be post bacc.

It sounded to me like Querty was saying they graduated from that school and no longer attended classes there. "Graduate" wouldn't make sense except for a grad student.

Sorry Querty that I don't know the answer, but maybe VMCAS001 will clarify.

Uh I'm pretty sure it wants your academic status at the time of the semester/quarter you're entering coursework for in that section. I thought that was pretty obvious seeing as how it's in the part where you enter the info for the quarter/semester.

Your academic status is entered when you complete each term in the VMCAS system. You should enter your academic status at the time of the term.. (ie.. if you were a Freshman during a certain term, that would be your academic status).

Thanks!
