Hey, I'm a first year at Ohio State, so I might be able to help with your questions.
"What classes are we going to take first quarter?"
First quarter you'll have Canine Anatomy, Histology I, Cell Bio, Ethics, Radiology, and Epidemiology. PM me if you want some more specific info.
"How long is the class day?"
It varies quite a bit the first quarter. Some days you'll come in at 10 and be out in a couple hours, other days you'll be in at 8 and out at 4. 2nd quarter you start at 8am every day and end anywhere from 11 to usually 3-4. This quarter (3rd) isn't so bad, with the days starting at 9am (woohoo!) and ending at a variety of times.
"When are we going to receive info regarding first year?"
You'll get the bulk of your info around the end of July I think. It'll have a handbook the students will have put together, info for some of the classes, some housing stuff, etc... Classes don't start until late September, which I guess is why the info isn't given out for a while.
I remember being in your position last year and wanting all the info I could get regarding the school, so feel free to PM me with more specific questions if you have any. Congrats on coming to school here! It's tough at times, but I love the place.
