Hello all,
This is my first post as you can tell. Basically, I go to a state school in Maine. I am not a bad student, I just have a terrible transcript.
The basic gist of it is, I dealt with a lot of mental illnesses. Between constant therapy, medication, and refusal to take time off because I didn't want to fall behind, I managed to accrue 2 Fs, 2 ws, and a D+ in one year.
Now ending my sophomore year, I am looking at a 4.0 GPA for this semester if things continue this way, proving to myself I can do this. I read as many threads on this site as I could using the search function, but I just wanted to ask my personal question I suppose.
My only question is, do I give up on PT school? I mean. The bad grades were in important classes that required more attention than I was mentally able to give. Now that I'm back in it, I've done well, and everything.
where do I go from here? My original plan has just been to kill it in my higher level classes and hope that admissions offices would look at that+ my personal statement (and hopefully test scores) and say "maybe this kid really did just have a bad year", but I just don't know. And that's why I am here.
Thank you
