I messed up my birthplace on my ERAS. It looks like it autofilled because the county is correct but it changed to the city and state of my med school. This puts me in a totally different region than I should be in.

1. Will programs see that I fixed it? I am assuming they downloaded the applications in September and won't upload the new info.

2. Should I send a letter out to programs in my home area? And how do I say, hi, I screwed this up but I'd still be a good resident.

rant rant whine whine

I almost feel better now. :/

There is no downloading anymore. Programs are able to access the complete updated application each time they access ERAS.

I don't think it really matters.

It doesn't matter, and honestly it's much too late for it to make any difference anyway. But if you'll sleep better, you can certainly reach out.
