Does anyone know if it makes any difference when an applicant submits their application between the opening date of August 1 to the application due date on Jan 15? Does applying early make me look more keen on the program?

it shouldnt!! I applied on Jan 12, and received an interview...I know others who sent in apps very early, but the only difference it makes should be when you get notified, either for an interview or not. They send out all rejections at the same time.
