i think the whole north/south florida thing is based on south florida earning much more revenue from tourism than the north, and yet the school systems in north florida are much better funded than the ones in the south. personally, working in south florida, many of the schools in and around miami do suffer from a lack of funding. but we all kno this will never happen, they had a similar discussion abt doing this in virginia, by splitting it into south and north VA.
i'm on the waitlist at usf too, i got a similar e-mail from everyone abt how the movement was a little slower than expected... (i'm supposed to be hearing back during the first week of june, instead of may 15th), but it is settling to hear that it could be just a little bump in the usual trend. however, i kno it's probly the last thing everyone wants to hear, everyone who is on the waitlist there, should prepare themselves for the worst and have a backup plan. get in ur mind that the worst possible scenario could occur, so in case there is bad news u pick urself up as quickly as possible and get ready to try again or go somewhere else.
