Does anyone know when fsu will be letting the interviewees know when they got in? Will it be tomorrow by phone?

I called FSU today and was told that they will be sending out letters next week.

Question for Miamiers (Miamians? Miamites?): When you respond to the e-mail and write the letter, what are you going to say? Is it just "I gratefully accept your offer of admission, etc. etc."? Anything else we need to mention?

UF is supposed to send letters on Saturday.

I talked to Robyn friday and she said they're not sending them until Mon.

I'm bummed too. 🙁 They did say they give out a limited number of acceptances this early and will send a larger batch out before christmas as our "christmas gift". This is what happened to a friend of mine last year. He interviewed early and then did not hear back for two months or so....

Anyone new heard from UF since the few calls this morning?

A good friend of mine had the same thing happen to her as well. She was put on hold on Oct 15th, and officially accepted in December.

She is an MS I there now, and her sister is doing residency there and just graduated in 2005 from the medicals school. Its kinda awesome for her, cuz she has someone who just graduated from the medical school mentoring her.

I said thank you for the offer and that I would like to reserve my spot in the class of 2010. I also said that I will be sending a letter in the mail to them per their request.

I got a reply back from Hinkley saying that they will be looking for the letter in the mail, so just make sure you mail them a letter too saying how you are accepting their offer 🙂

Went to check out UM-FAU today, and that place is INCREDIBLE. Facilities are the best I've seen, people seem cool... I have no idea why they don't sell that place six ways from Sunday, because I was going mostly just out of curiosity, and I was far more impressed than I thought I would have been. Something to consider for admitees and applicants alike.

They might give something additional in the mail, not sure, but when my friend (an MS II there) interviewed, she was contacted through email. She was also notified of her acceptance through an email.

They do both. You will get an email first, then a packet in the mail with more information.

If you haven't already, you should check the interview feedback for Miami. Several people have posted feedback from this year already. Good luck to you. 🙂

UF puts a lot of people on hold. I believe they take a certain amount in December, but they still keep another significant number on hold until later on.

Yeah, it's currently down at the moment. It should be up and running soon, hopefully.

I just heard from USF! Mr. Larkin is such a nice guy. DrMike and unfrozencavememan and anyone else who is slated to hear from one of the FL schools today, I hope you all hear good news today! Definitely keep us posted. Good luck everyone!

I interviewed at UM on 10/14, and Dr Hinkley said he would notify us in the evening after the committee meet or the next morning. I am assuming this may be the case for you as well, seeing as today is Wed. I would wait until tomorrow by lunch time before starting to worry. I hope this helps 🙂

Did he say the committee meets on tuesdays or wendsdays? I thought it was Tue.

I am pretty sure he said Wed. b/c he said if we did not hear wed night, he something come up after the committee meeting and would let us know the following morning.

yup, I have pretty much given up on it tonight.... 🙁

If I have nothing in my box by tomorrow afternoon I'll send an email to Hinkley. I have a friend who interviewed a week before me and she never got anything either. 😕
