Hey all,
As an FMG, does it improve your chances of matching if you have your application in by September 1st, and how crucial is it to have LORs from family med staff? It looks like 1 of my 2 FM rotations is not going to be approved, and the 2nd isn't until October. That means I can either submit to ERAS Sept 1st without any LORs from FM staff, or be delayed until end of October/early November by the time I get one written for me.
I should hopefully be an otherwise competitive applicant with good board scores (Step 1 >260, Step 2 pending), but I know it's going to get tight for IMGs/FMGs in the coming years even for primary care. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
