FM Programs

There are various tools like FRIEDA through the AMA, and Residency Explorer through the AAMC where you can search for residency programs by specialty, location, etc. These tools have a bunch of info for these programs on the sites themselves, and they also provide links to the actual program websites as well.
 
Please stop posting multiple threads about the same issue. You've already got three going.
 
Hello, I applied to 30 FM programs but I have only heard back from 10 places (and have gotten interview invites from all of them).. should I send out a letter of interest to residency programs I’m really interested in but haven’t heard back from yet??

I submitted on September 24 but I haven’t gotten any more interview emails since Oct 1..

"Since October 1st" is 4 days ago. More may be coming

10 already scheduled interviews means you now have more than enough invites to statistically match FM. If there are programs you really wanna interview at then reaching out is fine so long as you don't do it in a completely cringey and desperate manner. Otherwise you are fine.

Thank you for the response. The community-based programs I have heard back from are: Kettering Health Soin, OhioHealth Grant and Riverside campuses, St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, KY, and South Bend Memorial Hospital in Indiana. The academic-based programs I have heard back from are: Wright State, Univ of Cincinnati West Chester, Morehouse School of Medicine, and University of Florida).

I'm really hoping to hear back from some top academic programs...

Why? So long as it is a good program with solid learning opportunities that fit your goal, what are you specifically looking for in a "top academic program" that you need?

I guess maybe it’s partially big name recognition
But also wanted to train at a level 1 trauma center since that’s where I’ve been for medical school and I’m seen a lot of complex and serious cases

The only thing that I worry about with big academic programs is making sure I’m not “second fiddle” to IM, OB, or peds residents on those rotations

Places like Ohio state, university of Michigan, Emory, and University of Washington have strung academic hospitals
Yes there are other specialty residents there (such as UM, OB, peds). So I have been asking questions to these programs via messaging on their Instagram pages about the opposed vs unopposed culture
