Broflowski...it's too early. I bet you'll still get some invites. Time for your PI to start calling up friends, though.

I was so nervous I wrote to a couple of programs I applied to (and did not hear from) only to find out they did not send out any invitations yet...
I think next week will be THE WEEK.... ;)

I'm having a difficult time interpreting your credentials :p 2 years of USCE and 3 years of research?? Can you please tell us how you did that. Thanks :)

Rox, Caribbean students do all clinical rotations in the US (2 yrs). I'm not sure where Sarcoidosis went to school, but caribs have the distinct advantage of being relatively 'known quantities' in the match due to their 3rd and 4th yrs.

Have any of you used an interview prep service or tried mock interviews?

I see. I didn't know that. Thanks.

Rox: Good question...
I worked in a lab during undergrad for two years and both summers had opportunity to do research in that lab and partially during the year. Then our Last year of undergrad required one full research course/experience and I did that and had a publication through that. Then I took a year of and bummed around trying to get into a Canadian or US medschool and during that year I did a very interesting data analysis for a social science field. Then during my Surgery rotation I helped a resident with his research. So in total I thought it be 3 years, never took time off for pure research, although was considering masters but my good fortune, that I swallowed my pride and pursued medicine at a Caribbean med school. I am Canadian, if I was American wouldn't have this trouble of visa.

BlondeDocteur explained my 2yrUSCE above.
