Are you sure he's your friend? You sound a little bitter that his retake is higher than your current DAT.

I'd say take a step back, and sit your cup of haterade down.

You're obviously in a good position to get into dental school - but you might want to be prepared to explain a 17 in the biology section since you have a 3.9 GPA and are a biology major.

Your friend obviously wants to be a dentist and busted his tail to improve his position. Although you are probably in a slightly better postion, I admire your friend's tenacity.

i agree with uncbestyet. you are in a good position. your gpa evens out your DAT dont be bitter! 🙂

Definitely..... that's a large discrepancy. Not sure if it's a reflection of you or CSUN's biology program.

But relax.... if you have to be better than your friend at everything, you're not gonna keep many friends.

You should be fine... if you hate your score, retake it. If you hate your friend's score, get over it.

I can understand that i might have wrote that and sounded like a jerk so i apologize. i honestly meant not to sound like a jealous mofo. really, i wanted to see my friend do very well. i gave him my review books as well as destroyer. i guess i was just kind of upset with myself. i feel like the dat brought me back to my sat days. i had a 4.24 high school GPA, but bombed the sat with like a 1000/1600 scale. it was not even close to being easy to keep my gpa high, but feel like these exams are weighted very heavily. i apologize if i offended anyone or it sounded rude. thank you for your support. i just get worried im going to have my dat do what the sat did to me when applying to schools out of high school.

It's normal to be a little envious. You have great stats, don't worry about anything. I think you are in better shape anyway.
And I think I saw someone on SDN go from a 16AA to a 23AA just btw.
