For Interviews...Travel alone of with someone?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
By the way, I meant to say travel alone OR with someone...not of with someone.

some places my parents wanted to go to check out the sight-seeing (ex: they haven't been to chicago in a looong time, etc.), some places my girlfriend wants to go (places with pretty scenery) and some places i'll be going alone. it all depends, i guess.

i was wondering about this too...i dont know, i want my boyfriend to go with me because he'll probably calm down my jitters and also tell me if there's toilet paper on my shoe and stuff like that...i dont know, it's a lot of money for one person to go to interviews but if that's not an issue...

I was thinking it would be nice to have someone with you to keep you calm. Plus, if you can make a trip out of some of the interviews that would be fun. I guess I'll see how expensive plane tickets are and etc.

Do any schools have anything for parents to do if they come?

Or do you just go through the day alone even if someone takes the trip with you?

right. med schools don't want you bringing anyone on the interview day, but it can be less stressful/more fun if you at least have a travel buddy.

i choose to go alone. i want to be focused and composed. don't want any kind of distraction, even if it was my friends or family...

I think it's better to go alone. You can collect your thoughts on the way. Get focused. I guess it depends on the situation. But definitely dont bring the gf/bf to your interviews. I've heard from a lot of people (and read in a few books) that it looks REALLY bad.

I'm going alone. My friends and family will be with me in spirit. Spirits travel real cheap--know what I mean?

My mommy won't take me to my interview 👎

alone...unless you have a spouse or significant other that will be moving with you to where you end up.
