How do I best indicate that I'll take the courses if I get an interview?

Some schools require/recommend computer science or statistics. I'm a bit maxed out on student loans and don't want to take them unless I have to. I think putting them down as future coursework commits me to taking the courses to schools that do to require or recommend the courses also. Is there a way to best go about this?

Just out of curiosity, which schools require computer science?

If it is a recommended course, you don't have to take it, so I wouldn't worry. Required courses are usually expected by Jan. of the application year or by matriculation.

SUNY Buffalo.

Dang. To include statistics as future coursework or not is the question now.

Definitely take the statistics course, because it's recommended at a lot of schools, idk if the comp sci course is beneficial though

It's not required, and it won't change your stance if you're on the fence, but it could help in your favor if you have a somewhat strong application.
