Hey guys, I am a third time re-applicant and I am glad to say that I have finally been accepted this cycle, with a bunch of interviews lined up! I think one of the biggest things that held me back was my personal statement, which looking back at previous application cycles, was so mediocre. I was able to get in touch with a woman online who is a Publishing Editor and her husband is a current medical student and they really helped me work on my personal statement through the whole process and I think it played a huge role in my acceptance. In any case for those of you who need help with your personal statement, either starting from scratch or going over revisions, please DM me and I can give you the email to the person I used (I don't want to post it here because I'm not sure if that is allowed). I'm just looking to give forward! Good luck to all of you this cycle!!

Most schools have academic writing centers where professors help in-person and one on one. My pre-Med advising committee had a block of time set up for pre-Med applicants to request times to meet with professors of the journalism who have been helping with this kind of thing for over a decade. Check and see if your school has this, too.
