Foreign trained Orthodontists

The Gothenborg dentistry school here in Sweden is very well-known abroad for it`s high standard in education. How are the possibilites of working as a orthodontist in the US if one completes a residency program in orthodontics in Gothenborg?
I assume that one have to take the NMDE but how is the residency in orthodontics looked upon?

unfortunately, u are not an orthodontist in the US unless u do ur residency in a US school. a foreign specialist like any foreign dentist has to go to a 2 yr international dentist program to be licensed to practise GENERAL DENTISTRY in the US.
