    Because in California, there are two boards ... the Board of Medicine and the Board of Osteopathic Medicine

    The link you provided goes to physicians under the Board of Medicine

    lol...yeah if you click on the search button on your original link, you will see that there is a link on top of page just for osteopathic physicians. So this website didnt just mash them together but have them separated so you can define your search even more.
