I submitted my app last night and I forgot to add my future coursework... Is this really bad? I completed all my prerequesites though.

You must include all your future coursework that will counts for completion of your degree

I'm sure they'll kick it back to you and ask you to put it in. Give them a call.

I called in and the guy who picked up was very rude, he said it's not necessary and basically just hung up on me.

Yup, not necessary. AMCAS won't even verify any future coursework listed. Some schools' secondaries will ask you more questions about your prereq completion, and there will be space there to list if a pre-req is in progress or planned for later on. Other schools won't check at all in the secondary and will just assume that if you matriculate, you will complete all of the necessary prereqs.

I wish AMCAS made it more clear about the future work... I hope it doesn't hurt my app. I haven't even signed up for what I'm taking next year yet.

I actually didn't complete the future work as well, but don't worry. I called and talked to AMCAS, and I was told the way medical schools view it, your future courses are in flux anyways. They're primarily concerned with fulfilling prereqs, but we're welcome to let the individual schools know what we will be taking if we're still worried.
