Was just wondering if there were any formal pre dental post bac programs in California besides the UCSF and Loma Linda programs? I'm currently taking an informal post bac at Cal State, but even with 4.0's i'm still going to need some more help. Any advice will help. Thanks again.

Are you a science major? Formal postbacs are usually for non-science majors.

i also want to know about these programs, too. especially in California. i am graduating at the end of spring this year, and really need to know when and where to apply to boost up my stats and i really really want to stay in California to take care of my mother... any pre-dents/dental students out there that have taken the post-bacc route and stayed in california? any help would be great...also a timeline of what you did in terms of when to apply and what to make yourself the best applicant for the postbacc would be great. thanks!

I know Scripps does pre-dent as well, but its technically designed as a pre-med program. One of my friends from my year at Scripps is applying to dental school right now and she is making a killing in admissions... but she is also a serious rockstar

what do you mean by a serious rockstar? haha

and why is Scripps "the women's college"?? but yeah, it's a post bacc for people with non-science backgrounds...i can't do that =(

Scripps is an all girls college (but situated next to 4 other co-ed liberal arts colleges making up the Claremont Colleges). The girls take their science classes co-ed with 2 of the other schools. SO, Scripps takes guys into their post bac. Post bac guys are Scripps can honestly say they are the only guys going to an all girls school. Their ID cards always get a double take!

Oh and by rockstar I mean she is super smart (I call people I like/respect Rockstars, Allstars, etc.)
