Has anyone been required to do a formal presentation for an interview for a residency?? I am intimidated to say the least. So much is riding on the interview as it is and then to have to stand before them and choose a topic... Or, am I the only one to feel this way???

Any advice from the world of experienced ones would be appreciated.

Yes, I had to do a 20 minute presentation for an interview, and it's actually the one I was matched to. Are you starting your 4th year rotations now? If so, just take one of your presentations from a rotation, tweek it, and present that. I did a small research study on my internal medicine rotation and also did a poster at Midyear on that study, and I tweeked it to fit into 20 minutes. I think residency programs are just looking to see what your presentation skills are like and how well you can think on the spot. Rotations should hopefully prepare you for this!
