I have registered for MCAT. And, Am submitting the AMCAS application now. I haven't added additional schools except my state school. As I am unsure of which schools fit best to me.

I will select schools after mcat once I review the MSAR. But, can you tell me that - WILL MY MCAT SCORE BE SENT ONLY TO THE ONE STATE SCHOOL THAT I HAVE SELECTED????

Or if I add schools later (after receiving mcat score), my score will still be eligible for those other schools???

What about AACOM? Do I have to register for something prior to taking MCAT on July 2nd? or can I do that afterwards (after taking MCAT)?

What about AACOM? Do I have to disclose the score to them prior to taking MCAT on July 2nd?

Your MCAT score will automatically be part of your AMCAS application. If you add more schools, it will be sent to them with the rest of your application.

You have to send your scores to AACOMAS via the thx site. On your AACOMAS application, they ask when you're going to take the MCAT. Just select July 2009. I'm not sure what you mean by "do I have to disclose the score to them prior to taking the MCAT on July 2." Have you taken the MCAT before?

So, basically I can submit my AMCAS (just selecting few schools)? Then, later on after taking MCAT on July 2nd or after release of scores, I can add additional schools. And, those schools will automatically get my MCAT scores eventhough I had not selected them in my medical school list PRIOR to taking MCAT????

Do I have to register through this THx thing prior to taking MCAT on july 2nd????

Thank you so much for the response!!!

That's right. Any school selected through AMCAS automatically gets your score. It's only AACOMAS that you'll need to manually select on the THx website.

No, you don't need to register. You have access to THx when you register for the MCAT. It's part of the AAMC website.

Thank you very much for your response. I truly appericiate it!

No problem. Good luck!

Make sure you release the scores! I put on my AACOMAS application that I had a future testing date and thought releasing my previous scores would lead to my scores being updated. They were not. As soon as you get your score report use THx to release the scores even though you indicated when you'd be getting them on AACOMAS.
