Four year degree vs AS degree?

If you really wanna be a physician then suck it up and play the game. Do the BA/BS, nobody really cares whats it in, they just wanna see that you are able to handle courses more rigorous than those at a tech school.

You have great experience that will likely serve you well. I hope ya do it.

Get off the age thing too, I was 28 when I started med school, a good friend of mine is in her 40's. People do it all the time.
 
the percentage of matriculants holding a BA/BS (or the equivalent) upon entry to medical school. The percentage is about 99-100%, which leads me to the conslusion that the chance you have to be admitted to a US MD program without substantial work towards a BA/BS is virtually zero
