Hi everyone! I just received an acceptance from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire but still have some questions for anyone who currently attends or has visited the campus.

What is the campus/surrounding area like? From pictures online, it looks like a lot of the graduate health professions are located in one large building.

What do you think of the facilities?

Do you like the small faculty size?

Congrats on the acceptance! Did you hear today? I do not go there but live very close to the campus and know people in that program. The DPT campus is separate from the main campus, so it is all run out of a refurbished mill building in downtown Manchester. I do not know much of the class sizes. I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks so much! They actually emailed the decision three days ago on Friday. First update I heard from them since submitting my application.

I’m accepted too 🙂
Talked to a friend from undergrad who went there and she said she loved the program and teachers. She especially like that many of the teachers were current clinicians. The space is small but away from the main campus so more privacy for studying. She said that the cadaver labs are at Dartmouth medical off campus but that she didn’t feel it hindered her learning at all. She also said that in her class there seemed to be some miscommunication with clin eds but that she believes the issue was resolved for the class after hers. However, she noted that she felt very prepared for her clinicals. She passed the NPTE first try and is currently employed. All of her classmates passed 1st try except 1 student. I looked at the curriculum and it appears they’ve updated the clin eds so you have at least one full time clinical in your second year and they’ve added student clinic in the second year which seems like the community outreach program but don’t quote me on that. The low cost and the fact that it’s half a year less than the other programs I’ve applied to are very appealing.

Thanks for the insight! I really like what I'm hearing about Franklin Pierce, but I know I need to make a decision soon because the deposit deadline is coming up.

Still waiting to hear from 6 schools 😵

Awesome! What do you think, will you be accepting?
I will accept and put my deposit down, but I'm going to keep my mind open since I still have 6 schools to hear back from and I know some of their decisions aren't made until late Jan/Feb. While the $500 non-refundable deposit is daunting I don't want to completely rule out the idea of going elsewhere... So we shall see!

I have a good friend who is in her second year of PT school at Franklin Pierce and really loves it. She raved to me about the faculty - saying they're incredible clinicians who truly care about their students. She mentioned that Manchester isn't the best town ever, but cost of living is very affordable and she's thoroughly enjoyed her experience thus far. I would be happy to go to FP.

What are your thoughts?

I'm in the same boat with everything that you said! While I am still waiting to hear on other schools, I really like what I've heard about FP from current students. I find myself being really excited to learn more about it and research the program, surrounding area, etc. It likely has to do with this being my first acceptance, but I really do see myself going there. I just wish that there was an open house/actual scheduled time to visit the campus and go on a tour!

I also got accepted and am planning on attending.
When I was applying to the program I emailed
[email protected] to set up a tour. I was scheduled to meet with a faculty member who ended up being sick when I went to visit. Dr. Palaima, the program director met with me and my family for a tour of the facilities in their place. The facility is awesome and new. I visited in the middle of practicals and didn't feel rushed through and had all of my questions answered. My wife is a physical therapist and told me that one of the faculty members, Dr. Cleland, is a leading reseacher in the field. Much of the research she read in PT school and a lot of the research she uses in practice was done by him. I am very excited to get started.

Does anyone know if there is a facebook group for accepted students or something similar?

I was accepted but will be declining my seat, hopefully this opens up a spot for someone on the waitlist! Cheers!

Anyone else hear from Franklin Pierce (NH) from their next wave of acceptances?

Yes I recently got accepted but will be turning down my offer since I got accepted to my top program! Hopefully this opens a seat for someone else!

Thank you so much, I wish you all of the best! And it was About 2 days ago!

For the people who have already received an acceptance, what time of the day did you receive the email? Also, has anyone heard back with rejections or being waitlisted? I still haven’t heard anything.

i got my acceptance email around 10:00 AM PST!

Congratulations! What day did you hear back? Are you planing to attend?
i got in 12/14! Thanks! I put down my deposit and im looking to tour the facility but from my research it seems like a great program. high licensure pass rate and a family type environment so i probably will be attending!

I was accepted January 18th (I was on hold until then because I had too many outstanding prerequisites). I will be declining my acceptance so hopefully that opens up a spot for someone!

I got into one of my higher priority schools and plan on attending, so I'll be opening a spot for someone!

I just withdrew my seat as I will be attending a different program. Hope this helps someone on the waitlist!
