We got a small messenger-type bag that can hold a small binder and maybe a textbook, a huge coffee thermos/mug thing, and a pen. Most of that, I believe, was courtesy of our Alumni Association. Also maybe a highlighter from the library. Suppose you could also count the folder the orientation materials were in. Oh, I just remembered, we also got a free Musculoskeletal medicine book donated from somebody, but I don't recall who. I actually just sold it on amazon.com for 20 bucks.

Heck yeah! That's why I signed up for med school, I heard everyone gets a free backpack.

The ortho dept -- not a very useful book.

We also got a free teratology book during devo, and some ENT book -- both of which I've never used.

There's also usually lots of free lunches.

YES, along with housing, rental car, and new girlfriend.

We got a free short white coat and a book called "On Doctoring". I've never used either.

Wow I feel jipped. I got some post it notes,pens, a highlighter, and a taco dinner. My school even made us pay for our name tags. I don't even go to a state school, where I could see state budget having an effect on such things.
