Probably don't run a game where most of the people who sign up say they're gonna be busy if you're interested in a lot of active participation ;)

You see, there has to be a balance though. Checking in once a day is cool, not checking in at all? Not cool.

But, I mean. It’s understandable. Just bitter and salty.

You gotta lay that out when you make sign ups and be quick with the mod lightning if that's the case.

And also realize that it's been a while since the last game so people aren't (or weren't at the beginning anyway) quite in the swing of it, myself included.

I mean yeah, it sucks to have people ghost on a game, but if you don't want that to happen don't push people to play when they say they don't have time, make the game smaller, extend deadlines so people can still check in even if they have a crazy day, etc etc. If the most important thing to you is just that the game happens and you want to run it like a normal one, then you have to lower your expectations. :shrug:

personally, I only “pushed” one player- and that was you, who is fine (who was likely going to play anyways lol). I understand what you’re saying, but I still do have the capability to feel irritated about it. Will that stop me from playing WW again? Of course not. It just kinda hurts when you have a game where half the people are doing what they signed up to do. But it’s just a game so idc

I'm just saying for future, and for anyone else who wants to run a game during busy times. It helps to have reasonable expectations on both sides that are clearly laid out, so that less bad feels happen.
 
I don't feel awful about it, I just wish I knew if all my actions were going to be submitted so I could close early. :p My next game will have a 5 hour night cycle, methinks.

I feel like we're talking about WW outside of WW and that's such a no-no. We need to be mod-killed now.

Rest of thread, we're ruminating on plausibility of running a newbie game and if we could get newbies

Fresh-faced noobs? idk we could probably recruit some from pre-allo/pre-vet (why don't ever see anyone from the other forums?)
Semi-experienced noobs, you've got:
Me, Strider and Sheltermed with a few games
Tartesos (1 game I think)
Coquette (only 1 game which was Dr. Horrible and said she felt out of her depth with all the inside jokes and trial by fire)
Rabbott (2 games I believe)

You've got 3 rookies on that list, and 3 others that you could use to round out your numbers.
 
Torn between offering to play in said newbie game for numbers and offering to help co-mod because I want that mod experience

ETA: I'd offer to manator, but I HIGHLY doubt anybody wants a bunch of Mini-Mel's running around :rofl:

Disappointed at the lack of tags for the current game. :p

Also going to be disappointed if a noob game is running next. I want to play! Let the noobs go through a trial by fire.

Won't be running for a while and same goes for working on it. There's this short, little test I need to take before I start working on my current list of games. I'll add you to our planning pm

If there is interest in a game before Trilt is able to run the next one, I can throw something together. It won't be any of my currently planned games and would start Tuesday or Wednesday. If there's not enough interest I can hold onto my idea until later
