i'm not taking the dat until next summer but i'm going through my notes and making flash cards, do i need to know g chem definitions and all of the equations?
Purchase one of the review books available out there. Whatever is mentioned in those books is fair game for the exam.i'm not taking the dat until next summer but i'm going through my notes and making flash cards, do i need to know g chem definitions and all of the equations?
Yes! My exam was problem-based and it required lots of calculations. You don't really need to know all the equations. As you start studying for the DAT and proceed with doing sample problems, you'll realize that some equations are more useful than others (For example, you'll hardly ever see any of the equations involving the Bohr Atomic Model). This allows you to narrow down the list of equations you need to know.how was it for you? did you have alot of problems where you needed to know a certain equation or definition?
That should cover all you need.yea thats true, ill probably just learn all the equations i come across in my notes, flashcards work really well for me. What bio classes did you have before taking the test? i took bio 1 which is alittle cell bio and botnay and bio 2 which was more animal and taxo. this year i'll be taking genetics and then microbio. should that be enough to do well?
I never understood why you people want to rush your DAT. Although it's true that you don't need upper division classes to take the DAT, but taking such classes during your senior year will greatly improve your knowledge of various topics!!i'm a bio too but i'm taking it after my sophmore year because i'll have all the classes that i need for it finished. how long did you study before taking your test?
