Hi all,
I'm new to sdn so I apologize if this topic has been discussed before, but I was wondering if any of you have had success with gaining residency in the state of your DPT program during your time in the program in order to acquire in-state tuition? I've been looking at specific school's residency requirements, and it sounds like you have to be an independent, which I will not be. Just wondering if any of you have experienced anything different! (Specifically looking at NAU, UNC, CU Denver, UW but any advice appreciated!)
TLDR; OOS dependent able to gain IS tuition during DPT program?

NAU does not allow any of their students to gain in state tuition by obtaining residency. I talked to their admissions rep earlier and asked the same question.

Most states will not allow individuals to be classified as in-state if they moved to the state for the purpose of gradschool. You can become instate through positions like a graduate assistant or working for a year prior to attending school.
