Gap year job

hey guys, going off my Hillary internship post:

-so I'm going to finish school in the fall and apply to medical school that spring or the one after.
-in my gap year time, I was wondering if it be ok if I tried to work for a local congressman or political. It has not much to do with medical school, but it's another passion of mine that I might never get to do again.
-the other idea is hopefully getting a job as an emt or ER-tech.

Would it look bad if my gap year job was political and not Medicine related

I don't think it'd look bad. Just make sure you're doing things that ARE related to medicine during that year, too.
