Aside from a Fulbright scholarship, what other gap year programs or activities will allow you to travel abroad. I really regret not studying abroad and want to make that up somehow.

WorldTeach, but I do not particularly like the program because I believe that it creates dependence. It is also one of those "pay to volunteer programs" in the sense that they require a $2,000 deposit and over the course of your service that deposit is broken down into ten months of paychecks and given back to you. A few friends of mine have done this and loved it. If you are looking for a chance to travel and grow as a person, it is a good experience. But don't fool yourself into thinking that you'll be making a difference.

I participated in a global health program for ISL (international service learning) at Baja, Mexico. In my opinion, I had an amazing time learning and helping the community and it's culture. They offer other Latin American countries too.

There are many other internahip/fellowship/research abroad programs, like the Atlantis Project for instance.

Overall, they will be a bit pricy. But if you have the money/scholarships to pay for it, then they can be great experiences to take.

Do you have any income or spending money? Because you don't need some scholarship to travel and work abroad. You can EASILY get a 6 month and 1 year work via for Australia. The job market is pretty great for foreigners trying to work. Google how to work abroad. Many opportunities in SEA as well.
