Just graduated in May and applying early. How do adcom's want to see me spend my time in the coming year? I plan on traveling extensively and maybe do some research to generate income. Thanks for the input.

I have heard that as long as you do something, you will be fine. They do not want to see you spending the time on your couch watching tv, but traveling or research are fine (at least from what I have heard).
