What set of species is arranged in order of increasing O-N-O BOND ANGLE?

A) NO2-, NO2,NO2+ B)NO2,NO2-, NO2+

c)NO2+,NO2,NO2- D)NO2,NO2+,NO2-


The answer is A. But I cant figure it out why!! Can some one explain it to me plz!!!

Look at the lone pairs on nitrogen after drawing Lewis structures.

NO2-: 2 electrons on nitrogen
NO2 : 1 electron on nitrogen (this molecule is a radical)
NO2+: 0 electrons on nitrogen

The electrons on nitrogen will take up space and 'push' the oxygens closer together.
