Hi all,

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed and would be grateful for any insight and advice you can share. I took the NDBE Part I in 2002 (scored 86). Unfortunately, I got sidetracked, and 9 years later, I'm only now starting to try to prepare to apply to advanced standing programs.

I haven't taken Part II or the TOEFL. Given that it's already July, I'm pretty sure that means I'll have to postpone applying until next year -- right?

And will schools accept such an old score? I'd hate to retake Part I, but I don't know how long the score is considered valid.

What is the general timeline for most advanced standing applicants? It would be great to hear when you took each exam, when you submitted your application, and when you started getting interviews and notification of results.

Thanks for any input!

most schools will not accept a 9 year old score report. you can check online on the school websites to see if some of them do.

A good timeline would be - building your CV - august - june/july. (taking CE courses, volunteering, observing in USA)
NBDE part 1 - April/ may
TOEFL- may
applications - may/june
interviews - sept - jan/feb
acceptance - YAY!!!
