Because I need to plan financially, I end up needing to make course plans well in advance so I know how many credits worth of tuition money I will need at a certain time.

My school offers most all of its upper level Bio classes as separate lectures and labs. Genetics lecture is worth three credits and Genetics lab is worth another three credits. They may be taken concurrently or the lecture a semester or two before the lab.

Do you think it would be too much to take Genetics along with its lab during the 8-week summer session? I don't work in the summer and have one 3-hour volunteer commitment per week in the summer. I hear Genetics lab is challenging but that was elevator hearsay from one person and I wanted some more opinions!

Thanks!

I think it is very doable. Just took molecular genetics and it was hard and super in depth but if you can commit study time you should be good! The lab will only reinforce lecture ideas so that will help also!

Agreed, they will build on each other so taking them together won't be as difficult as taking two individual classes.
