My SO is graduating with a BSN this spring and is interested in women's health. She had been considering doing an MPH or something similar a few years down the road since she's interested particularly in educating women in underserved areas.
One of her nursing school friends told her about an online midwifery/WHNP program offered through Georgetown University. As she described it, I couldn't help but think that there were some serious red flags, such as:
1) No work experience necessary
2) No GRE required
3) Can be done part time in 24 months
4) No costs/tuition, etc. information was given
5) After clicking on the "request more info" button on the site, she said she was contacted within a minute by a representative of the university (this is a red flag to me because that means that Georgetown is making enough money off this program to have people monitoring for interest full time)
So I was wondering if anyone on this board knew anything about this program. I'm really skeptical at this point and am worried that this may be a diploma mill-type program. Does anyone have any experiences or know anyone who's in this program? Or any other bits of advice?
