I'm lucky to be accepted into both Columbia and Georgetown pre-med post-bacc career-changer programs.
I'm trying to make a decision in the next few days and I was wondering if anyone has any advice about the programs.
I have my masters from Columbia so I'm familiar with the school, however, having lived through the pandemic in NYC I'm keen to move to a new city.
Any opinions and perspectives happily recieved!
Thanks so much

The Columbia postbacc program that I am familiar with has linkages with like 10+ schools, so if you can meet the requirements I would personally go with that one. The requirements usually involve your cum uGPA (usually around 3.4-3.5), so most students who need a postbacc usually can't meet them.
Here is a link: Linkage-Specific Program Requirements | School of General Studies

I don't really have knowledge on the Georgetown undergrad postbacc, only the SMP.

But this may not even be the career changer program, so If it isn't I apologize for the confusion lol.

Thank you. Yes Columbia’s program does seem to have more chances of linking and I would try and work in my current job as long as I can while doing pre-Med courses. Georgetown looks like such a cute area though and both me and my husband are keen for a change in scenery. I would try and link to their medical schools if I went down the DC route.

Is there any kind of forum that Columbia med students read? I want to ask a question about the Upper West Side, particularly living not really close, like W. 70-80 St.
