Georgetown SMP vs. Boston University MA

Hi folks,

I am applying to both the SMP at Georgetown and the MA program at BU.

While I know Boston, I do not know DC.

I am interested in a specific comparison between the programs, no. of classes taken, degree of difficulty, admissions rates to commence the fall after completing the program (that is, skipping the glide year), housing, admission rates, SMP library thesis vs. BU's lab thesis, etc.

Is one program considered "better" than the other?

i think the main diff is that the bu prog is 2 years and the gu prog is 1 yr.
