Getting a different degree

Update the schools - there is nothing else you can do but wait. Schools will get back to you based on how busy they are... number of applicants, interviews, decisions, etc etc etc.
 
Common sense tells me it makes little difference. I doubt it was the BS that got you your seat so why would that matter? As long as you inform them as soon as you heard the news I think it is going to be fine.

That is what I was thinking as well. But I am not sure. Maybe LizzyM or Catalystik will chime in.
 
I'm sure this won't affect you at all. These med schools all say that majors don't matter (even though there likely is a very very small bias somewhere). I would just update them and maybe say why that happened. The only way I see this causing problems is if you can't go through with the intended major because you started bombing classes in it. If it's just due to a change of interest, then I would include that in the update letter and maybe describe what interests you in the new subject.
