Hey guys,

I graduated this past December and have a free 7ish months before dental school. I've been looking into what to do with this time and was wondering if anyone knew how one could get a job at a dental lab? Any tips/guidance on this would be great. And if you have other ideas on what to do with this time I would love to hear those as well!

Yes! It is absolutely a great idea! I just got accepted into dental school this cycle, but I worked a dental lab my freshman year of college with no connections at all. All I did was submit my resume to a bunch of postings from Craigslist (literally applied to ANYTHING dental related) and turns out, the lab called me in for an interview! It was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I feel like I know the terminology and vast amount of info as a D1 would. With that being said, I took a journal in everyday and took notes as I knew that info would be valuable in my future. Anyway hope you get the job and take it, I am very thankful I did.
Chime in after you finish the first year of ds and let us know if your sentiments remain unchanged.

I am currently working at a dental lab and have been for almost a year. Applied with no experience on Craigslist and just told them I was a pre-dental student. Team liked me so I got hired. Never hurts to try
