hello all,
I'm a 4th year starting the application process, was concerned by an email I got from Medical College of Georgia. It stated that a requirement of the program was that you have either an A or B in both Surgery and Internal medicine rotations, and that you must have an A in one of these. The minimum USMLE score was 200....seems a bit odd. So I'm curious, do you most programs have requirements such as this? I figured USMLE scores would play a role, but requiring certain grades in specific rotations?
I happen to have only gotten a pass in both medicine and surgery, then high pass or honors in everything else except ob/gyn. My boards are upper 240s and I've done a good bit of research. Should I be worried about my low grades on medicine and surgery?
