hey guys.. i interviewed at LECOM 2 weeks ago, and NSU-COM one week ago. I know I'm being a little impatient, but I'm just wondering how long it took for people to hear back from these schools... I'm getting into this habit of compulsive email/snailmail/voicemail checking, and its really emotionally draining, and kind of embarassing.. my friends are starting to think im a nut.

thanks in advance for any info on the timeframe!

OCD regarding any form of communication during application season? Welcome to the world of the med school applicant. we're all doing it. Just wait 'till you haven't heard from any school at all for 45 days or so... you'll REALLY start being OCD. 😉

hey christine,

when did you interview. i interviewed on the 13th. just curious. i wouldn't stress too much it has only been 2 weeks at least lecom said it should talk between 2-3 wks. GL

yep, 'tis the season of endless worry. I'm in the same boat, I've had two interviews, including PCOM, my top choice and every day that passes makes it more of a nail-biter. If anyone has heard from PCOM post interview let me know. Good luck!

Hi Christine,
I interviewed at NSU on Sep 26 and I received my acceptance call on Oct. 18 around 9:45AM. Don't be afraid to call the school and check your status periodically. Good luck!

Welcome to the club, Christine!

I interviewed at LECOM-Erie on the 16th of September and got an acceptance letter in the mail on October 5th, my birthday. Best birthday present ever! Whoohooo! 😀 Goodluck.

Just FYI, Elaine Morris at LECOM-PA said that before she had no help and was doing all the acceptance paper work on her own, she said that now since she has help again, applicants should be hearing from them sooner (unless the dean is out of town to get her approval). I interviewed on 10/17 and she said we should be hearing something by 3 weeks.

oops I doubled posted, so deleted entry 😀

PCOM said we should hear from them before November--I think they met this week and/or the beginning of next week.

Hang in there!

I interviewed at LECOM on 9/29. It has been three weeks today but still have not heard anything from them. I know where you're coming from. I look out my living room window waiting for the mailman every single day around drop-off time.

Is there anyone on here that doesn't check their e-mail and snail mail and messages/missed calls religously?? I think OCD is inevitable at this point. What's bad is that at first it seemed like everything was going rather quickly but now it's back to a snail's pace. Waiting... patiently... 😱

I hear ya....Interviewed at LECOM on 10/3.....check email at work and on my phone, RACE home to check the mail....

And its still exceptionally early in the admissions world....

Its still - i have never been this anxious over anything....
Oh well....stomach ulcers are managable right?

Just do something else and you'll forget about it. I actually had forgotten the MCAT scores were being released last week until I happened to enter the MCAT forum here on SDN.

It makes for a nice surprise.
