Getting degree at a cc

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Most CC's don't offer bachelors degrees. Even if your's does, it probably will look better to get your associates at the CC and transfer to a 4-year school.

That being said: I did most of my pre-reqs at CC because I was a non-trad with kids and needed to save money. Check the MSAR. Some schools do not accept CC credits, others will weight them "less" than university credits. DO schools are more likely to be accepting of cc credits. It's also probably more important to get A's a cc than at a competitive university.

I've never heard of a cc giving a bachelor's degree. I have a similar story to holdthemayo - I'm a non-trad who did most of my pre-reqs at a cc due to cost, but I have a bachelor's from my state university. It actually did come up during one of my interviews, but not in a negative way - they agreed that cc are a good option in a lot of ways. Anyway, I don't think it's necessarily a negative to have a lot of cc credits, but maybe be wary.

Does the CC award it? My nearby CC starting doing bachelors programs but degrees were awarded by the 4 year state school
