Getting licensed in Maryland

Anyone going to an out of state school going to get licensed in Maryland? I was born there in the metro DC area and may return home to work once I graduate. My main question is if we're able to do some of the paperwork and forms prior to graduating. I know some states will allow you to do paperwork before graduating and I was wondering if anyone knew if this was true for Maryland licensure as well.

This would be a new license by examination, not reciprocity.
