Hi all,

How do you guy wait without getting too nervous and concerned LOL

I submitted to 16 schools now already... and everyday doing "wait should I submit more just in case? vs No 16 is enough save the money for possible interview later" game....

I submitted 7/2 Tue and my 4th letter(the strongest letter I assume) was finally uploaded on 7/14 sat.

So it only has been complete complete not too long.

I've got "complete application emails" from many schools past week.

How do you know if you should apply more or not?!?!?It's still July, so If I want to add more, I Can add more now and it should still be "early" ish.

What do you think?

MY DAT is AA21 TS22 Bio22 GC22 OC21 PAT23 RC22 QR18
My SGPA is 3.28 W/ +/- 3.41 W/O +/- and my OGPA is 3.37 W/ +/- 3.50 W/O +/-.
( I was wondering which one do you use?W or W/O)

anyway, I have 100+ shadowing hours, 800 + student mentor hours, 100+ TA hours, 500+ club officer hours, 9000+ research hours (worked as research specialist), 500 ish hours of pure volunteer.

Got few awards and scholarships.
Got a few published papers.
Got 2 bachelor's one in fine art one in Bio.

I had lower GPA during my BS(Bio) due to having a newborn during the semester..but my grads are like AAA-> BBB->AAA so...my BFA GPA is 4.0/4.3 but this was international so they don't really care I guess.

I applied to 16 now.

Minnesota
Michigan
UIC
OSU
Pitts
Upenn
Maryland
VCU
Conneticut
Rutgers
Stonybrook
NYU
Columbia ( I know just in case...)
UCSF
UCLA
Oregon

Should I apply more now ; ( I already spent $3000 for this but if it is worth it, I could submit more...
I chose region mainly that I would be ok with raising my two little kids in somewhat progressive states as immigrant. My permanent residency is wrapping up and I am waiting for the interview to finalize my green card. Hopefully I Get the physical card within 2-3 months now.

P.S. I am OOS for every state. I lived in WI for past 9 years, paying taxes 4.5 years, they still don't consider me in state hahaha beautiful. Marquette isn't on the list for that reason + Milwaukee isn't my dream city.

I'm fairly conservative lol, but I understand the location aspect. I can tell you now that your extracurriculars are fantastic. and your DAT is good as well. Your GPA is a little low for applying to state schools and not having any residency advantage, but despite this, I think you have a fair shot at receiving interviews. 16 schools is a lot, and some schools think this "clogs" the system, so maybe don't mention this if it is not asked specifically. *IF* you decide to submit 1-2 more, try investing in private schools as they are most accommodating to out of state students. I wouldn't be surprised if you are accepted this cycle. Good Luck.

I would add 2-3. It appears you have a few reach schools even though you have a well rounded app

Yeah I completely understand if you are open you have more choice. If I were a single, I can go anywhere, but with little kids, I just have to choose the best for my kids. So I am somewhat limited in choices.

Which private school would you suggest? I have to admit that I am not really open to paying more than 90K/yr tuition ;( which most private schools are....likeTufts, midwestern, USC..
BU isn't my option since my pre-reqs are 7-5year old and I did ask them about it and they said no.

My guess is like marquette, case, Temple? maybe Western...too. which would you say the best school?

I will take your advice seriously and will not mention I have applied a lot unless they request. Thank you so much.
I just really need to get in this cycle...into decent tuition school....;(

I will have to give up my current income and benefit and get loan to go to school, so raising two kids...will be hard. Getting into 90K/yr school at my age 32...😉 doesn't seem to be right decision to me. so....

Thank you!! Will think about a few more options for a week or so now.

Hi, could you suggest a few schools?
If I would I would choose maybe Case, Temple, Marquette, or western. but I will have to figure out COA in detail...

according to dental school explore the COA of Western without living expense washout 85500 but it looks different via their website...

Thanks!
