Hey all,

So I'm stuck for recommendation letters. I've only managed to get 1 science prof letter and as you know most dent schools need 2 or 3. I graduated from uni last year and I'm really lost on how to get more letters. I've approached all possible science teachers that I've had. At this point I'm trying to decided if I should take a random science course at a university (pros: possible recommendation letter, improve gpa, cons: it's expensive and the commute), or I can take an online science course which is a prereq for most Canadian schools (pros: cheaper than in-person course, improve gpa, allows me to apply to more Canadian schools, cons: not sure if I can get a recommendation letter).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I worried about the same thing as I knew I was going to take a gap year. Luckily I made it a priority to find professors willing to write letters before graduation. Taking an online course wouldn't make sense as the professor wouldn't even know your face. I'd try and contact your old professors again and explain your situation.

If all else fails, take a class or two to fulfill your LOR requirements. Visit their office hours once a week, do well on the exams and you are good to go.
