The economy is hard and the application process has strained my bank account. I am fortunate to have been accepted to multiple schools. I have already sent in a deposit for a school that is not my top choice. Is it possible to get a full refund or partial refund? It's been over 4 months since I sent in the deposit but school doesn't start in more than 2 more months? Can we write some kind of sympathy letter? Has anyone tried it yet?

Do you know what NON-REFUNDABLE means?

Yeah I had to send in a $500 deposit to my second choice school, and I was waitlisted at my first 🙁 And the $500 is non-refundable, it is a rule with all pharmacy schools unfortunately. So if I actually get accepted to my first choice :xf: then I would not be able to get the $500 back.

Yeah the whole idea with the deposit is its not refundable. Its designed to show commitment. I've heard numberous posts with people trying to get it back... good luck

There is no way you can get your money back. Haven't you heard the saying" in America once you give your money out expect to NEVER get it back ever." That goes with ANYTHING/ANYTIME you give out money. Always remember that the next time you give out money.

P.S I just got lucky South University never charged me the $1000 dollars! 😀

If you wrote the right letter - first to the Admissions office, and then to the Assistant dean / dean when you get rejected - there is a possibility you could get it back.

Nothing is impossible - I recently had 110 dollars credited to my account by southwest when I switched my flight for a funeral. It wasn't my in my immediate family, and they were under no strict requirement to do so - but after calling up the chain of command - I was helped out.

It could happen...

i highly doubt it dude....they've already spent your money lol
